St Dalfour and Meridian produce a range of fruit spreads sweetened with apple juice that may be suitable for diabetics. Our most popular sweetener is Xylitol which is an ’alcohol sugar’. This sugar does not interact with insulin or yeast and is suitable for moderate consumption by a diabetic. Other dietary foods include dairy free, wheat free and egg-free products or raw materials.

They may react to ‘modern hybrid wheats- which have high chromosome content in the grains –whereas some of the more indigenous grains to Europe have a simpler structure with lower chromosome content.
